It's dawn and the nooks are out looking for shooting stars in some fireweed.

J R R Tolkien spoke of fireweed flowering in the Old Forest just beyond the eastern border of the Shire.

In Swedish we call the flower Rallarros, "the rose of the rallare". Rallare is the title men working mainly by the railroad. This flower often grows by the railroad, hence the name.

I love the rich history and cultural significance a plant can have!
