An afternoon in October. Mornings come slower, evenings come earlier.
I wanted to capture the beauty of the trees on the avenue in Vasa, because in fall they become fire. In the back you can see a bit of the courtyard in front of Schillerska, people are commuting from work by tram, bike or walking, this area is always really busy in mornings and afternoon.

I spent every weekday on this station in my first two years of high school, however the school moved to Skånegatan my last year.

I have many fond memories of waiting for the tram on this station, all us students flooded it before and after school every day. Must have sucked for the locals, the tram was always packed.

I pass by this place sometimes. The architecture reminds me of my childhood neighbourhood. I decided on an autumn scene, I think the colour scheme of the houses fits the season.

Järntorget
Järntorget was named after the now-demolished scale which once stood on the site. It was used for weighing iron to be exported from the city's harbour. Personally this is my favorite square of Gothenburg, it has some of my most visited cafés and second hand shops. There used to be a kid playing 90's garage band punk here for a few years, but I think he might have gotten picked up by some label, he was real good.

This is one of these stations that I find a little extra special since my mom grew up in the area. As a kid I thought this station was soooo cool since it was elevated. My grandmother lived at the next stop, at Wieselgrensplatsen. Sometimes we went up on a small bridge close by and looked at the trams passing under, something I still enjoy doing.

Slottskogen 150 år
A jubilee poster for our most beloved city park, Slottskogen.

Three friends taking a walk, in the background you can see a big oak tree and people enjoying the sun. The iconic globe lights are present.

Some brief history:
Slottsskogen, is a 137-hectare park just southwest of downtown Gothenburg. The park got its name because it was created in a forest ("Skog") that for several hundred years belonged to the royal Älvsborg fortress/castle ("Slott"), which was located a few kilometers away on the Göta river, hence the name "Slottskogen" or "The castle forest".
