Järntorget, or the iron square in english
Some brief history:

Järntorget is a hub for public transport, located west of Haga and is the starting point for the boulevards of Linnégatan to the south and Nya Allén to the east; and the streets of Första Långgatan and Andra Långgatan to the west, famous for their bars and chill night life. Järntorget is the traditional home of the city's labour movement.

Järntorget was named after the now-demolished scale which once stood on the site. It was used for weighing iron to be exported from the city's harbour.

Personally this is my favorite square of Gothenburg, it has some of my most visited cafés and second hand shops. There used to be a kid playing 90's garage band punk here for a few years, but I think he might have gotten picked up by some label, he was real good. If you know who he is, tell him i miss him.
